About this piece

We build this teardrop hoop with a smooth hinge that opens wide and clicks shut firmly. The 16G post measures 1.2mm in thickness, paired with a 10mm inner diameter to give cartilage and septum channels room to breathe. Clear cubic zirconia stones line the lower contour of the 316L steel frame.

Hinged teardrop profile

The tapered teardrop contour holds clear cubic zirconia along its lower curve. The segment swings open on an integrated hinge and snaps closed securely without loose parts to drop or lose during wear.

Ten millimetre inner diameter

This option measures 10mm across the inner opening, roughly three eighths of an inch. Gauge is 16G or 1.2mm thick. Make sure the diameter matches your anatomy and that the gauge corresponds with what your piercer originally installed.

Solid 316L steel base

We machine the body from 316L surgical steel with rounded edges and a high polish. The metal resists tarnishing in daily wear, and the smooth post slides into seasoned piercings without snagging on entry.

Cartilage and septum placement

The drop shape sits flat against the septum, daith, conch, or helix. To keep the stones bright, wipe the ring clean with a soft dry cloth and store it in the included pouch when not in use.
